The MEADE ADU is a two-story detached accessory dwelling unit with a 1,200-square-foot footprint per floor, designed to preserve outdoor space by using exactly half of the available lot area. The design meets San Diego's minimum 4-foot setback requirement for detached ADUs while still delivering a welcoming yard, balancing functional living space with code-compliant, site-sensitive planning.
